It was great
Really enjoyed it, nice and short I don't want to waste my day watching a 10 minute epic, this was great. Well animated and synced with the music. And it made sense. It was blue, things were great, people were happy, music was playing, then someone dropped the red and ruined everything. Make more, perhaps branch out of flash, its just one small part of the animating world, you might suit stop motion collage or something like that.
Stop motion sounds a little too tedious for me.
The lack of vanity shown here is inspiring
You have a great understanding of movement, of the human body and a very stylish direction (which I think would translate well into live-action film).
I've watched this animation about 6 times now, what I love the most is that you've included so much intricate animation, some of which may even go by unnoticed, and that you don't dwell on these skilled intricacies, on these amazing few milliseconds of FbF animation like other animators do - you don't loop them for too long, needlessly repeat them or add pace-destroying slow motion. The lack of vanity given how skilled you are is what makes this animation great.
As most artists know compliments can be a very dangerous thing so please don't become complacent, don't feel you deserve a few lazy weeks, dive straight into something whatever it may be (I wouldn't blame you if you wanted a break from the medium of flash). Just don't sit back and do nothing, in a year your animation should be twice as good as it is now.
Thank you for this animation, it has inspired me like nothing else has on Newgrounds.
The Best Script + Unique and fitting style
I was just looking through my favourites and found this, which I haven't watched in a long time. I think this is the best script on NewGrounds. It doesn't adhere to Simpsons/ Family Guy style humour, its brilliantly dry and yet slightly crude at the same time, so there should only be a very tiny audience who doesn't enjoy this.
The animation is perfect. The simple outline-free style is funny, original and it favours natural movement over chunky thick tweened black outlines that so many animations like Tankmen and Tomorrows Nobodies copy.
From this Animation alone I can see that you're definitely one to watch. Good Luck with everything.
Very Impressive
Really great work on both the animation and music. Very ambitious and constantly entertaining, the song was pretty good but it didn't hook me as much as the animation.
I hope you keep on experimenting with film and music you might end up coming up with the next gimmick for all the MTV music video directors to rip off, although that may not be a good thing.
Coming from a fine art background the only advice I can give you is be random with your creativity, and put lots of effort into concepts that no-one else would be 'stupid' enough to consider. If you keep doing that you'll be a huge creative influence on the world.
stylistcally great, not so good pacing.
The front page can seem like a curse for reviews as people have certain expectations in comparison to other front page material. This is a great animation though.
The style and design are the best things about this animation and the sound works perfectly (something often over looked even in high scoring movies), the sea in particular is just great it keeps in line with the artwork shown in the living world and at the same times gives a "ye olde" mythological look.
Some things that you might have overlooked on account of having watched it so many times (it usually takes me about a month to realise why my work sucks): The walk cycle at the beginning it quite bad and jerky and people will be voting on first impressions. The transition from our protagonist being struck by lightning and waking up in Valhalla is either too fast or too under-emphasized you don't really notice anything has happened, and "Valhalla" in red? I'm sure you did this for a reason but it was just distracting maybe a better smaller font, but I don't think you need to establish his location in the first episode he's obviously in some kind of afterlife.
Really good underrated movie, please make more soon if you keep this standard up coupled with an interesting story you're sure to get a small following.

Had me laughing out loud throughout, brilliant stuff and very englightening.

Un-original, the random humour just isn't funny enough. Dragged on for far too long and was just generally boring.
Reminded me too much of weeble and bob's cartoons but not half as funny.
You've got talent in your animation though, nice and smooth maybe next time.

He HUMPS STUFF! its funny. The graphics are actually pretty good, its just that everyone has been brainwashed by all these new pretty FbF flash movies lasting about 15 minutes.
Fantastic flash movie, great idea, great style, great humour and I gave you an 8 for interactivity because I love the humpy mouse cursur at the end. MAKE MORE!
